Founder and President of Maguire/Maguire Incorporated, an association management company with headquarters in Corte Madera, CA.
The firm specializes in providing headquarters, marketing, and membership development services to nonprofit charitable and educational associations organized to certify and represent their members in government and private sector workplace fund drives. Clients include Independent Charities of America, Children’s Charities of America, and the Hispanic United Fund, among others. The firm’s clients collectively represent more than 1700 nonprofit organizations, raising approximately $85 million annually.
Previously, Maguire was Senior Vice President of Coleman & Christison Incorporated, a national advertising, public relations, and government relations company with offices in California and Minnesota. Clients included Blue Shield, Dale Carnegie Training, the U.S. Department of Energy, and Community Health Charities of California. Prior to that he worked as a professional spokesperson in the political campaign management industry.
He received a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service degree from Georgetown University in 1968 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Golden Gate University Law School in 1977. He served with the U.S. Army in Vietnam, attaining the rank of Captain of Infantry, and later as the press liaison for the 6th US Army, Presidio of San Francisco.
